Abit's new leader has a bachelor's degree in Business Administration 
from FGV – Fundação Getúlio Vargas.
He developed his career in the Textile Industry, where he
has worked for over 35 years.
He is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vicunha Têxtil, AVCO Polímeros
Brasil, Finobrasa Agroindustrial S.A., Pajuçara Confecções S.A. and
Fibra Empreendimentos Imobiliários. A dvisor to the companies: Textília S.A.,
Elizabeth S.A. Indústria Têxtil, Vicunha Steel S.A. and Vicunha Aços S.A.,
President Director of Vicunha Ecuador S.A., Director of Vicunha Uruguay S.A.,
Superintendent Director of Rio Iaco Participações S.A.
He was a member of the Board of CSN – Cia Siderúrgica Nacional and Chairman
of the Board of Banco Fibra.
Member of the Boards of IEDI, ICESP (São Paulo State Cancer Institute),
Coscex (Fiesp) and the Pinacoteca
Advisory Board. He is Patron of Masp and Museo Reina Sofia (Madrid), and
belongs to the MAM Rio Associates Program.
He is Brazilian, married, 63 years old and has three children.

 

 

Fernando Pimentel, President of Abit

Fernando Valente Pimentel, current CEO of the Board of Directors of Abit,

a native of Rio de Janeiro, graduated in Economics and Business Administration

with Specialization in Marketing, by Faculty Candido Mendes. He has been active

in the Textile and Apparel Industry since 1977, both in the national and international

market. In the last 12 years, he has held the position of Superintendent Director of Abit.

Member of the CAL – Permanent Thematic Council on Legislative Affairs;

Member of the CRT – Permanent Council of Labor Relations and Social Development;

Member of the COMTEXTIL – Textile Industry Productive Chain Committee of the Federation of Industries of the State of Sao Paulo.
