The mission of the Export Promotion Agency -
APEX is to stimulate Brazilian exportation,
especially the small companies. Therefore, partnerships
with entrepreneur entities and other institutions
without profit objectives were developed, for
implementing trade promotion programs, strategically
defined under an enlarged concept of trade promotion.
Besides the classical actions of trade promotion
(fairs, missions, catalogues, tasting, etc)
APEX is supporting other actions to adequate
the products and prepare the companies to export.
Created under Decree nr 2398, of November 21,
1997 and the exposition of objectives, APEX
started to operate in April 1998, aiming the
implementation of trade promotion policies of
exportation established by CAMEX - International
Chamber of Commerce of the President's Office.
The target established by the trade promotion
policies and pursued by APEX through its projects
is to increase the Brazilian exports to new
and existing markets, increasing the number
of exported products with a higher value added
and the number of the companies involved with
the international trade.
